It seems that within the last few weeks my belly has hit a major growth spurt. I can finally say that I feel like I’m actually sporting a baby bump now. These last two weeks have been very busy for me, but overall I’m still feeling pretty amazing. I must say, I absolutely love being pregnant – and I’m doing my best to savor these last three months of carrying our baby. Check out what happened during Week 24 and 25 of my pregnancy below.
24 Weeks: Baby is the size of an ear of corn.
25 Weeks: Baby is the size of a rutabaga.
Since I’ve been so busy I forgot to take my regular Wednesday bump pictures in my normal bump outfit. Week 25 was actually taken closer to the beginning of Week 26, so that’s why my belly looks significantly larger. I’ll try to get better at these for the remaining weeks of my pregnancy.
24 Weeks: 1 pound.
25 Weeks: 1 pound. I’m 15 pounds over my regular weight right now. According to Google and my BMI, I am right on target for a healthy weight gain so far. I’m just hoping that I can stay on this path until the final week!
24 Weeks: Body Pump and walking. I’ve been making it to the gym at least three to four times a week.
25 Weeks: Workouts have proven to become a slight bit more difficult as my belly continues to grow. I certainly miss my normal routine, but I’m doing my best to stay active while also listening to my body. Walking and strength training will probably be my only type of workouts until the end of this pregnancy.
24 Weeks: Feeling fantastic and my belly is definitely taking a more round shape for sure. There were a few afternoons this week that I felt a bit of fatigue, but nothing compared to the tiredness I felt during the first trimester.
25 Weeks: Energy levels continue to soar this week; however, I am finding it harder to pull myself up as each day passes. I did wake up with a few cramps in my side this week. Nothing major, just small issues that seem to pass within a few minutes. I’m also a peeing machine lately. It’s quite ridiculous, but I’m still drinking lots of water because I know how important it is for my body – especially during pregnancy.
24 Weeks: Crawfish, cake, and snowballs!
25 Weeks: Sandwiches, water, and cake. I think I’ve been craving cake so much since I’ve been on Pinterest the last few days planning our Baby Celebration!
24 Weeks: Waking almost every hour to urinate. Errr!
25 Weeks: Same as week 24.
Looking Forward To…
24 Weeks: Our Baby Celebration. This week we picked out a date, venue, and invites. I cannot wait to celebrate Baby Michel with family and friends – and finally let everyone know whether we are having a boy or a girl!
25 Weeks: Beginning to work on Baby Michel’s nursery! Time is ticking and I feel like I have so much left to do. I’m also looking forward to taking a few classes at the hospital. This week I signed up for a Breastfeeding class and Labor and Delivery class.
Any Baby/Pregnancy-Related Purchases
24 Weeks: Yes, I finally bought maternity clothes. I bought these jeans, these shirts and this super cute dress for only $15 (see picture below)! I also bought a dress for our Baby Celebration, but had to return since I didn’t like it once it arrived in the mail.
25 Weeks: Nothing this week.
24 Weeks: Still none.
25 Weeks: None yet.
24 Weeks: Yes, but Baby Michel seems to get shy when anyone else places their hand on my belly.
25 Weeks: Same as week 24.
Belly Button In or Out?
24 Weeks: In.
25 Weeks: Still in.
Happy or Moody Most of the Time?
24 Weeks: Very happy!
25 Weeks: Still happy. Again, I feel so lucky that this pregnancy has been such a breeze. So far that is….
