As some of you already know, I feel a need to switch out the decorating throughout our house as each season passes. Since it will finally feel a bit more like Fall tomorrow and we’ve officially entered the month of October, I’d like to share with you the details I added to our home for this Autumn season.
I definitely kept decor on the simpler side of things this year since I basically used items I already had lying around the house. One thing I did purchase was the stems needed to make the Autumn arrangement that sits on my dining table. And since I had a little extra yellow mimosa spray, I placed it in a mason jar then added the simple arrangement to my fireplace mantle.
Brett and I just recently got the painting on top of the the fireplace mantle re-framed, so we were finally able to hang it on the wall. Now that the painting no longer rests on the mantle, the area beneath it can finally breathe a little. Other items on the mantle are my owl from Kirkland’s and a small white pumpkin from Hobby Lobby.
On the sofa table I added a new vase from West Elm, and in it I placed some of last year’s stems from Hobby Lobby. The antler from World Market and bull horn from The Paul Michael Company normally sit on the sofa table year round, but their natural look totally tie into the fall theme as well.
I placed another fall arrangement on the coffee table which sits in this bowl on top of my new tray from West Elm. I love that this tray also provides the perfect resting place for all of our remote controls.
Below you’ll notice the reclaimed wood shelves that Brett put together right before our wedding. I never blogged about this addition to our home, but I have to tell you guys that I can’t help but smile each time I pass the beautiful shelves every day. They add so much rustic charm to our kitchen and I’m so in love. Onto the shelves I added a bowl filled with small, white pumpkins.
And finally I placed a few cake stands and a white pitcher on top of the refrigerator. To add some fall touches I added a glass pumpkin from Pier One on top of the white cake stand and some wheat and feather stems into the pitcher.
I hope you guys enjoyed the tour! I tried to included sources in the links for most of the items I mentioned throughout the post. Luckily some items that I purchased a few years ago are still available today.
I cannot tell you guys how excited I am for cooler weather, but this Fall I am truly thankful for you. Yes, my blog readers, both old and new. If you are new to the blog please be sure to subscribe to my post and follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Bloglovin’.
